Recently, Economic Modeling Specialists Intl. looked at the situation of workers 65 and older in order to see what their professional situation is like, and they found a group of workers that is steadily growing. In 2001, workers 65-plus were 4 percent of the workforce; in 2012 these workers are 4.7 percent of the workforce.
